Cathedral Palma de Mallorca

The Cathedral of Santa Maria in Palma de Mallorca also more commonly known as La Seu is a Roman Catholic Gothic Church was built in 1229 upon the site of a Moorish Mosque. Its construction was began by Jaume I in the Catalan Gothic style. La Seu is 121 metres long, 55 metres wide and its nave is 44 metres tall and its construction finished in the early 1600's.

Many important architects and artist took part in building and decorating this amazing building including Gaudi in the early 1900's this atraction is visited by many turists throughout the year and includes a walk through museum and entry into the Main Cathedral Chambers at a cost of 7€ per person.

Here are some photographs I took yesterday while In Palma, this is a highlight for people visiting the capital city of the Balearic island and through my work I am here also on a daily basis.

Located right next to the Cathedral is the Almudaina Palace which also includes a museum, This building was originally an Alcazar a Moorish fortified palace, present day it is an original residence for the Spanish Royal family for ceremonies and state receptions.

Surrounding the Cathedral are there are many beautifull gardens and trees
