Knowing Your Equipment

It helps to know your stuff when you're out late at night. You can ruin your entire outing by rummaging around in the dark for a piece of equipment. You should be able to find anything if you know your bags and containers well enough.

This is also true when it comes to using the equipment. For example, you won't be able to read any measures on your dials. On a moonless night, knowing roughly how much to turn your lens by feel can make or break your photo.
