@papilloncharity, Great story! Your guests were satisfied with the warm welcome :). Their master gave them a good upbringing. I sympathize with the owner of these good dogs in connection with his illness. One can only hope.
@madlenfox the owner is a woman and her name is Cecilia. She was devastated as her favorite cat died while Cecilia was away in hospital and this only made life more difficult for Cecilia. We do what we can to help and the dogs will be okay now with us here. One can however sense that they miss Cecilia terribly, as they walked daily with her all over the farm, but now I walk with them on my photography walks. You are correct, one can only hope. @papilloncharity, It is very sad! I know that animals are also very attached to their owners and they are also very sad at parting. These dogs are lucky that you are familiar with their mistress - Cecilia , and they may well trust you. I was very touched by Your story.
