Pink Roses At Night (four photos)
April 12, 2018
Nighttime photos taken by me at or a little after 8pm Central USA time on April 12, 2018.
Pink roses in our front yard have bloomed or are in the process of blooming and it's wonderful to see them in their beauty, and in my opinion, they even look more interesting when photographed with the background of the darkness of the approaching night.
Hope you enjoy seeing them! :)
Beautiful, it looks like a 'Lorraine Lea' rose. Does it have a perfume?
I don't know exactly what kind of rose it is but it does smell very good. (but not very strong) I have tried eating the petals and they taste mostly like carrots. It's a tough rose bush because it has survived both tons of rain but also years of drought. (Texas has highly variable weather patterns and sometimes extreme thunder or ice storms/winds/every year a tornado or twenty and also hurricanes on a fairly regular basis)
Anyway, I have never really looked up the kind of roses these are, but your guess looks pretty spot on from what I looked up online. Sorry for the slow response to your comment and question.
Thanks for the upvote and noticing my post. Take it easy! :)
No problem, we are in totally different time zones. I'm imagining it is early Monday morning for you.
We have similar extreme weather here 19F in winter up to 113F in Summer. We had 12 years of drought where we couldn't even use a bucket to water plants. Made it very hard for me work wise, as I am a horticulturalist
