Yurts - Original Photo Series - Italy

The Yurts or Ger have been used in Central Asia like kind of life by the nomades for more or less three thousand years, and the first quotation knowed was recorded by Herodotus in the ancient Greek around 600 BC.

There are used symbols to the yurts decoration like: tigers, dragons, lions, the five elements (earth fire, meta, water,, and wood), sacred ornaments, and elements of the cosmos, to bring good vibrations,protection and strength.

The traditional yurts structure are made with pieces of wood or bamboo and comprises a the crown (roof), a door frame, and rafters called also of ribs.
The modern yurts there are building with wooden or metal, canvas or tarpaulin over a wooden platform.

The yurts are done to be dismantled in parts and carried by camels and yaks, and to complete assemble to take about 2 hours

Nowadays the yurts are considereded as a national symbol of the many Central Asian groups, and they can be used as souvenir shops museums, cafés, etc.

The Tribu Universo's project is to build five yurts until to the end this year.
