Washington DC, From the air
I had the opportunity to fly out of National Airport in Washington, DC right near sunset.. The sky was clear and the sun was reddish and casting long shadows. I got some pictures of downtown DC including the Washington Monument and the National Mall. In the above picture, you can see the Washington Monument in the center of the picture, the wide open area at 2 o'clock is the national mall with the US Capitol building at the far end. At 10 o'clock at the end of the open area is the White House.
Here's another picture which shows more of the low buildings of downtown DC at sunset.
