Nice post! The pictures remind me of a bike path nearby me that has a section that usually has standing water on it. (The river must have changed course a bit) I road my bike through once but the water went up over the crank, so I've learned not to do that. It wouldn't be so bad but some logs get caught there and it pretty hard to get through without crashing in the water or at least soaking your shoes.
