Photowalk Landskrona #1 - Introducing my home town.

Landskrona Citadel is situated in Landskrona, Scania, southern Sweden. Its entirety including the very well-preserved moat system, the castle, park and old allotment areas, and central as well as sea-side location makes Landskrona Citadel unique. The fortifications and moats system surrounding the castle is known to be one of Europe's largest and best preserved.

Today, there was a market in the town square. Flowers, fruits and vegetables are sold fresh most days of the week.

The central square is surrounded by restaurants, pubs and shops. Festivals and markets are held annually with music and and other ways of amusements , and quite soon the Landskrona carnival will begin. It is a great feast.

The town has buses that runs on electricity.

Landskrona is a very green city, with plenty of parks and open spaces. Spread out almost randomly around the town is pieces of art. This lady is resting in the shadows.

In the harbour stands the most eye catching object in town. The water tower. 60 meters high it is seen from many km away.

Overlooking the town up on a hill in vadensjö, stands a tall solitary tree. One morning before the sun rised this colorful scene played out.

The town was founded 1413 and some of the houses and streets are quite old. How old this house is, I do not know.

I like this town very much and are very happy to live here. It is not big, around 30 000 inhabitants, but the train goes through making it a piece of cake to travel to for example Copenhagen in less than one hour. So it is a small town with the whole world at its doors.
