Argiope - The X Spider
Argiope is a large spider have a strikingly coloured in their abdomen. This spider body are different to the other spider and the web of this spider is stronger than the normal spider you see in your home. This spider also known as wasp spider and St. Andrew's cross spider. Because this spider form an X mark in their web and the spider is form like an X while waiting for the victim trap in their web.
Here in the Philippines , There are different species of Argiope Spider.
Argiope aemula - You can easily idetintify this spider by the zigsag design embossed on the web.
This species can found also in India, Sulawesi and New Hebrides. Discover in 1841 by Walckenaer.
