I wanted to go to Peyto but I think the trail was closed, and the highway to get there was partially closed too because of avalanche risk, also 3 hikers went missing in an avalanche last week. Dangerous times for alpine activities ,as you said, it's full on winter there still. I just came back and from the gondola and the view of Lake Minnewanka was still frozen solid and so was Lake Louise. Spring has some of the most spectacular snowy mountains tho but lots isn't open yet but there was still plenty to do.

If you and your hubby go next spring (or whenever) maybe we can arrange for a steem meet with the 4 of us!
