This one was long overdue, guys. I love spicy food and I just do not know why I didn't make it earlier. But better late than never as they say, right?
This roasted jalapeno, garlic and tomato is to die for, I kid you not! It is probably going to be a little challenging for me to sum up the recipe for it because I was eyeballing my ingredients a ton just kinda seeing what is going to work and what not. I must say, I am beyond happy with the final product. Definitely recommend trying this hummus to all the spice lovers out there!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked chickpeas (drained);
  • 1/4 cup lemon or lime juice (I used both);
  • 1/4 cup EVOO;
  • 2-3 teaspoons tahini paste + some of its oil;
  • 1 roasted jalapeno pepper;
  • 1 roasted tomato (medium size);
  • 4-6 large roasted garlic cloves;

Spices: salt, pepper, cumin, coriander, chili powder, turmeric, caraway, nutmeg, cloves, parsley flakes. All those to taste. You can start with a pinch of each and work from there.
Garnish: roasted chickpeas, roasted pine nuts, EVOO, chopped cilantro or parsley.

Directions:

Here goes my favorite part, guys. Combine all of the ingredients in your food processor and pulse into a smooth paste. If the mixture is too thick, thin it down with extra lemon/lime juice, olive oil or water, adjust the spice level.

Serve with pita bread or grilled chicken, use as a dip or on a sandwich, in other words, do as you please and enjoy!

Jalapeños I share with you the idea that spicy food is good but for my taste I do not like it so spicy just a paco I think I am very young for the spicy jajaja

Although I want to go to Mexico and try something spicy

To be honest with you, I don't think jalapenos are all that spicy when they're cooked, so I would highly recommend you reconsider eating them :)

Hello, I am a new follower, I have seen some of the recipes are good, and you have a good gift for taking photographs.

I'll stay here seeing what else you have this spicy I like but I have never tasted the jalapeño

Thank you very kindly, happy to know you enjoyed some of the recipes I posted :) hopefully you like the future ones just as well :D.
Jalapeno is moderately spicy in my opinion, once it's cooked though it is pretty mild.

That looks yum...and it looks like you didn't have to use bid bots to get appreciation for this fab post.

Not this time hahaha

Thank you!

It looks very nice, wanted to try it, thanks very much already sharing ..

Hope you get to make it. Thanks!

Really beautiful. I love the way you included the jalapeno...I find humus can be boring at times. This would definitely give a bit of kick! Great photos, really displays the humus and naan. Well done!
