Rose Milk 🌺
But have you heard of rose milk?!
Well, apparently rose milk is a popular drink in India as well as some Asian countries according to Wikipedia. I didn't do a very thorough research on this, maybe I should have?! I was more focused on taking pictures 🌺
In India rose milk is often served with chia seeds that are added to the cup last. Since I am still trying to over come the slimy texture of those I decided to skip them . . . this time :). But now thinking of it, I will probably throw some in there next time.
Ingredients:
- rose cordial;
- your favorite milk;
- edible rosebuds for garnish.
To be honest, if I were to go to the store and look for rose cordial, I wouldn't know where to begin. I was lucky enough to have a jar of rose petal jam that I brought back from Crimea, which is basically a tea rose syrup, it is delicious.
Another place to get ahold of some rose cordial is Amazon, they have a few different kinds to choose from. A middle Eastern market would be the spot to go, too 🌺
Directions:
To make this rose flavored milk you're going to need to combine milk with the syrup, proportions may differ based on your taste and are free to interpretation.
Let's just say that for every cup of milk you will want to add 1 or 2 table spoons of syrup, try before adding more to control the sweetness.
If you haven't achieved the desired color, beetroot powder is a great option to fix that without having to make the drink too sweet.
Enjoy! 🌺

Thank you Helpie!
The images are simply inviting me to try this soon. I make my own rose water, but rose syrup is something I have never heard of. I will be trying this out.
Thank you :). I hope you get to try it, I thought this rose milk turned out quite tasty, certainly a bit different for me, but nonetheless very enjoyable!
That is nice to know, I am inspired to try it.
Oh! It's delicious. I first tried it in Bulgaria.
There's a huge rose plantation and rose do almost anything:jam, perfume, toilet water, drinks, and the petals are added to tea directly .
Even these colors prepare creams and ointments...
Thank you for the beautiful photos. They look great.
A spectacle of songs and flavors! I loved it!
The only high quality posting left on this platform tbh.
I haven't really explored Steemit much aside from my feed lately, it makes me happy that you think highly of my photos :) thank you!
