Evening attire w/ Maribel and Rachel!

in #photography5 years ago (edited)

Sitting in my office, starting another Steemit post at 1:00a.m. It’s not a great look for me. I just got over a stomach flu and this morning, on little sleep shortly after dropping my son off at school, the nurse called for me to pick him up. Yeah. He was sick. In Magic: The Gathering, there are a few spells and enchantments that turn your creatures in to 1/1 creatures with no abilities. @tarotbyfergus have deemed that the equivalent of catching a cold or flu. You’re not dead, but you’re certainly not a threat to anybody. @guthrie has been a 1/1 creature with no abilities for most of the day, and around the evening, @vermillionfox became the same. This entire night, I’ve been trying to work while juggling sick bay responsibilities.

If you read my post yesterday, I’m still riding the optimism despite the bearest of bear markets right now. It’s almost the end of the month and my mortgage is due. I hope I’m wrong, but it’s looking like a troublesome client isn’t coming through with money owed for services rendered. I mean, maybe it’ll still happen, but I can’t count on it by the end of the month. Even in such a depressing slump, I am eternally grateful I can sell some crypto to cover that until things either get sorted out, or go to small claims court […really hoping it doesn’t come to that]. If things shake out for the better, I’ll buy it right back, but as a guy who has a family to support and exhausted credit, this is still financial salvation.

Also in last night’s Steemit post, I mentioned that I’ve been catching up on a ton of clients owed from Viva Las Vegas in April, or earlier. Tonight, I’m continuing that with new edits of Maribel and Rachel; two beautiful models and close friends from Las Vegas. I’ve shared photos of these ladies in my previous post, “Spooky girls at The Artisan!”. We did shoot at The Artisan Hotel, one of my favorite places in Vegas to take pictures. The first look was a Michael Hussar inspired creepy clown girls concept. These photos were more dark and elegant with both models wearing slinky, right evening gowns. It’s great to have the time to pull off two completely different concepts in the same night.

I’m going to wrap this up because I do have to get to bed. Most likely, @guthrie and @vermillionfox will still be under the weather tomorrow, which means I’ll be running back and forth between them with 7UP, pear slices, soup and medicine. There will be more from this shoot coming, and if all goes well, some new work from a trip to LA and Vegas in August. I’m going to try and get in a half hour of drawing or reading comics on the iPad Pro before I retire for the evening. Hope you’re all doing well and staying above the stress. Thanks for reading and supporting. For more photography, art, illustration and the stories behind the work, follow me here @kommienezuspadt!

your blacks are getting crushed, something is up in the render!

Weird, i guess it's google chrome doing that on my computer for some reason. Nevermind sorry!

I think there is no details in black parts are very close to be crashed! There may be slight detail but technically not visible for an eye.....

Yeah, but just the way chrome is rendering it there is a big difference between 100% black and 99% black. Other browsers it looks fine to me

No, @solar. You were right. I noticed that after your comment. I meant to comment back and thank you. I don't know what that was all about. I resaved and reuploaded these images to my serves and posted, and they came out right the second time. It almost looked the way images uploaded to Facebook turned out with muddy tones because of compression.

My work is always extremely dark, hence the "dark pinup" genre. I shoot slightly underexposed and process dark as well, but those first ones weren't looking right. Thanks for the heads up!

Hope you all are feeling better soon! I had the same going into the weekend. Rest up!

I'm recovered, but the rest of the family is just getting over it. Thanks @bryan-imhoff.

Well, I hope your family gets better. And it IS annoying to have to 'chase' payment, the problem of being your own boss, for certain.

More wonderful photos and that one young lady in the sequin dress has a very Jessica Rabbit moment that I am loving! I really do love how your low light moody photos always give the figure so much light and aura in your shots.

I had to laugh that you are ladling 7up into your sick family. Is that a thing? Do people drink sugary soda when they are feeling ill? I mostly just got this funny image of sick people nursing a large 2 litre bottle of 7up like a baby bottle, but of course, I'm too prone to imaginings :)

Get well all and good luck with that client!

Feel better soon

Cryptos saved me many times in the darkest days of my financial life. Today, I continue to invest and use the cryptos since we have many utilities for them.
I'm thinking in a way to help people whose needs money to use their cryptos as collateral to get credit without bureaucracy, and this just is possible because of them.
Thanks for sharing!

It's been a busy few days and OH No @kommienezuspadt ! I've lost your publications.
How to forget the dark girls? they are beautiful.!
Beekart liked them a lot!
as always difficult positions are the best you do.
