📷 Evening Towers of San Gimignano, Italy

The town of San Gimignano, located in the Italian region called Tuscany, is notable for two things: its ancient towers and wine.

However, almost all wines of Italy are noteworthy (as well as cheeses, olives, and prosciutto), but not every city can boast of medieval family towers, especially in such quantity.

For several centuries, since XI, eminent families built about 70 towers in the city. And the fact that until our time has survived at least 14, this is a rare luck. Some of them can be climbed, but we came to the town quite late and the doors were closed literally in front of our noses.

After a short walk through a very atmospheric medieval city, we need to print out wine, a piece of Parmesan and olives, sit on the remains of the fortification wall, free to visit at any time of day, put tripods and enjoy the beauty around. Sunset did not spoil the bright colors, but it was still an excellent evening)
