Ketchaoua Mosque "ottoman legacy in Algeria "
Hello dear friends. hope you are fine and having a nice day. In this post I want to show you a beautiful Mosque in Algeria. Its Ketchaoua Mosque, located in Kassabah the old city of Algeris, the capital of Algeria. It was built during th Ottoman Empire rule in 1612 on a Turkish-Ottoman style.
This beautiful Mosque was converted into a chruch in 1845 during the french rule then restored as a Mosque again in 1962 after the independence of Algeria from french colonisation. Its called Ketchaoua Attributed to the market which was beside it.
It is really a very significant thing how the design of this Beautiful Mosque remained intact for over four centries. Ketchaoua Mosque is one the most gorgeous buildings in Algeria.
