#steepshootcontest : Si Langka dari Maluku (Anggrek Larat Maluku (Dendrobium phalaenopsis)
Dinamakan Anggrek Larat karena pertama kali ditemukan di pulau Larat, Tanimbar, Maluku. Namun lantaran keindahannya, banyak orang memburu anggrek ini untuk kepentingan bisnis tanaman hias dan oleh sebab itulah tanaman ini semakin hari semakin langka dari habitat aslinya.
Sehingga Provinsi Maluku menetapkan Anggrek ini sebagai salah satu dari 12 spesies Anggrek yang langka dan dilindungi di Indonesia berdasarkan Peraturan Pemerintah No. 7 Tahun 1999
Semoga kita tetap mampu menjaga ekosistem anggrek ini dan seluruh pemerintah daerah juga mencontoh Pemerintah Maluku dalam melestarikan tanaman daerah yang semakin langka dengan tindakan preventif dan persuasif.
