Goodbye Ormond Beach... For Now
During this week long vacation with my family I took lots of photos that I wanted to share with you guys!
Starting with the Mesoglea that I collected.
Mesoglea is just dead jellyfish tissue that has yet to decompose. The tops of the jellyfish are typically the last to decompose so the parts I collected didn't have any stingers. Although Jellyfish can rebirth themselves, I found these already washed up on the beach halfway decompesed.
Everyone loves a good sunrise.. especially here on the East Coast!

out of curiosity- can you do anything with the Mesoglea or does it just make for a pretty picture? :)
I think it is just makes for pretty pictures! However, my best friend took some home, put it in her freezer overnight, and then in the morning put it in a jar with some dry ice and I believe they hardened? I am not quite sure if it worked but it seemed cool!

I love living here.. except during the winter when it's still really hot 🤔
But Winter is the best time of year here!
Occasionally, fall is my favorite time of year but I'm pretty sure Florida shines in the spring or summer since that's the only real seasons we participate in.

Thank you! And that would be super cool. The beach I live by has a million shells but Ormond doesn't really have any sadly.
