It's spooky to wander around old ruins, even small ones. In my area, we're more likely to see remnants of log barns. We have no idea what it must have been like for the inhabitants then.
I love old barns and cabins, a few years ago it was still standing and I peeked inside, so much wood work all done by hand, so much labour.... in a hundred years there will be no trace of it.

Very true, like no one was ever there. If it's really old, the scale of everything is smaller too.
