Thai photo contest:blue photography, I revisited Wat Arun yesterday, เราแวะไปวัดอรุณเมื่อวานนี้

Yesterday afternoon I had some free time so I took the boat to Wat Arun or the Temple of Dawn once more.

My purpose was to visit the Old Palace or Thonburi Palace where King Taksin used to live. This Palace is opened to the public once a year as it is inside the Royal Navy Headquarter. Therefore it is off limit to the public and there are official guards at all the gates. Wat Arun is next to the Old Palace so I had a brief walk around the Pagoda or Prang after my three hours visit of the Palace. I was very glad that I managed to make time for this visit. The Royal Navy allowed the public to walk around freely and to go inside small buildings and the actual Grand Hall where King Taksin held his court meetings and receptions.

This time the lighting at Wat Arun was very beautiful comparing with my last visit two weeks ago. The sun was about to set and there was this golden light which made the whole place glowed. There were so many tourists and there was a long queue of people waiting for the returning boats to the Sathorn Pier. That was a very long day for me.

เมื่อวานนี้ตอนบ่ายเราหาเวลาไปวัดอรุณอีกรอบหนึ่ง เราไปขึ้นเรือด่วนที่ท่าน้ำสาทรไปลงที่ท่าวัดอรุณ แต่เราไปเพื่อเจ้าเยี่ยมชมพระราชวังเดิมที่อยู่ในเขตของทหารเรือ ตอนนี้มีการเปิดให้ประชาชนทั่วไปเข้าเยี่นมชมพระราชวังเดิม ซึ่งเป็นที่ประทับของสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสิน ในครั้งที่ครองราชย์ที่กรุงธนบุรี เราได้เดินดูโบราณสถานโดยรอบ เราได้ซึมซับบรรยากาศ และลองจินตนาการสภาพความเป็นไป ในช่วงเวลาหนึ่งของประวัติศาสตร์ไทย พระราชวังเดิมเปิดให้เข้าชมจนถึงช่วงปีใหม่นี้ ตอนเดินออกมาทางวัดอรุณ พระอาทิตย์กำลังตกทำให้แสงสีทองอ่อนๆส่ิงไปที่พระปรางค์สวยงามมาก เราจึงบรรทึกภาพอีกครั้งหนึ่ง
