Rice Hispa

Bluish-black beetle fringed with numerous short spines over the body, also known as Rice Hispa (Dicladispa armigera). He is an insect pest of rice. The rice hispa is common in rainfed and irrigated wetland environments and is more abundant during the rainy season. I also find it on the edge of the irrigation and close to the rice fields, I see only one Rice Hispa.
