Peace At Daybreak
I know I promised fireworks, but my service was limited yesterday and I wasn’t able to upload anything. So you all will have to wait just a bit longer on those, but I have some of nature’s fireworks to hold you over.
I have been trying to capture “my view” each morning while on vacation, as I wake up to the sun coming over the mountains. I had a lower window near the water and just made it a point to take a photo out it each morning as soon as the sun woke me.
There is just something magical about the early morning hours, when the dawn is just making its appearance and the air is still cool and crisp. It has this peace and calmness that seems to take my breath away each time.
These are some of my favorites.. taken right from my bed. I’ve been kicking myself for not taking the extra step to actually take them with something other than my phone, but to be honest I was half asleep and was more focused on taking in the scene rather than capturing it in the most eloquent way, something I need to work on.
But honestly, I was too busy just trying catch my breath...
I love the extreme contrast between these two images and the feel they have. I also realized that I would love to wake up to the water each day. The sound, the visual.. it’s just absolutely stunning.
Which is your favorite? I’m leaning towards the first.. there is just something about that image... I want to experience that daily.

The second one is a bit more wild I agree. It was a completely different scene and feeling.. I can see why that’s a favorite as it has so much happening ❤️
that's a great shot. Perhaps the spotty service allows the eyes to focus on the beauty that's right in front of them. Could you imagine missing that because you were checking your phone lol. I think this is a great break for you.
Yes great point! I’m pretty good about enjoying moments and not being on my phone but tried to have it handy for photos on this trip. It’s been a great break to just not stress about fixing all the things though and it was much needed 😊

Majestic to say the least! The setting goes very well with vacation mode so enjoy it! It definitely gives perspective of how calm things can really be and how we ourselves are thebones that complicate our daily lives!

I prefer the serenity of the first photo. Why would you need to take those photos with a better camera, they show the experience and going to the trouble of using a better camera would be wasted on the moment.

Yes I really love the serenity of the first. Actually I’m quite impressed with how these turned out on my phone. I just meant that I have this nice fancy camera that can capture these moments even more beautifully and I should do better about having it handy for them. But honestly.. I opened my eyes and took a photo out of the window.. so I can’t be too hard on myself about it I guess 😜 Good point though about just enjoying the moment and not worrying about what camera was used. Totally agree!
We won’t fireworks!! ....jk, those pictures will do too. They are lovely
