Amsterdam sunset - EYE Film Institute
The EYE Film Institute is an iconic building visible when arriving in Amsterdam through the central train station. It can be reached by taking one of the free ferries, as shown in the first photograph, across the river IJ. Opened in 2012 it serves as both a Dutch archive and museum for Dutch and foreign films. When visiting Amsterdam, visiting the EYE Film Institute is highly recommended. If you time your visit with the sunset you will also be able to enjoy similar scenes as these.
This is actually a docking place for a taxi boat which you can also use to reach the museum and enjoy a nice cruise on the river IJ.
While approaching the museum from behind, this stairs leads up to the cafeteria, which has a nice view of the river IJ and the central station.
