Winds of Autumn. Album # 8
According to the so-called "eight current emblems" of Chinese symbolism, the leaves would be an allegory of happiness.
Possibly more pessimistic, Westerners do not usually stop to reflect on these types of circumstances or on the cycle of death and resurrection that corresponds to the passing of the seasons.
Cycle, which for different cultures represented the states of initiation through which the hero had to go through in the realization of his personal myth.
As in the Apocalypse of St. John, the seasons also have their hidden symbolism and it would be said that when autumn comes there is an angel willing to blow the trumpet, as a prelude to the next arrival of the Black Angel of Death.
And between the trumpet of the first angel and the arrival of the Black Angel, as often happens with the terminally ill, there is a moment of glory, a moment of explosion, of clinging to life with all intensity, before succumbing to the holocaust of goodbye and return to the dust of the earth.
That is precisely the vision of Autumn that I would like to share with all of you: that explosion that preludes the beginning of the end and that, comparatively speaking, painters of all ages called ‘explosion of glory’.
