The beautiful acquaintance
Until relatively recent times and with the exception of the pilgrims who arrived in Palencia, as an invaluable part of those fundamental destinations that made up that great diversity of milestones, myths and keys that make up the millenary Way of the Stars, to its cathedral, one of the great jewels Spanish medieval art of all times, it was called, and not without reason, 'the beautiful unknown', because, with rare exceptions, most of the people, who, in addition to the pilgrims, arrived in the city, inexplicably passed from long, hardly paying attention to it.
Fortunately, the same does not happen in a present, in which tourism and above all, the Spanish themselves, begin to awaken from that cultural lethargy that has suffered for centuries, to realize that beauty and transcendence, not only are available to everyone, but also provide intense moments of pleasure, whose vision and even more, whose experience, is well worth discovering. Better late than never and paraphrasing Mulder and Scully, there is nothing more certain than affirming, unambiguously and setting such a singular example, that of: 'beauty is out there'.
