[ENG-SPN] Spanish customs / Costumbres españolas
The scenarios change, of course, but not the feelings. Curiously, few people really understand us Spaniards, but it is a fact - each day more evident, especially after the pandemic that has caused so much pain and suffering in the world - that, even without really understanding each other, all they end up accepting -including the boring Hyperboreans who vegetate on the side of the Aurora Borealis- our customs and our happy way of living, because, deep down, we also have a Latin heritage and we know, like the great thinkers of ancient Rome , that every hour hurts, except the last, which kills.
For this reason, in our customs, the background of Carpe Diem always underlies and we try to enjoy and live the moment, as if it were the last. It is not surprising, therefore, that in our chest, as the mythical Manolo Escobar sang, wine and women are always present -with all due respect, of course- and are the best companions, when the spirit, which also He is affected by his human part, he enjoys and always enjoys living moments in the best of companies.
Cambian los escenarios, desde luego, pero no los sentimientos. A los españoles, curiosamente, poca gente realmente nos entiende, pero es un hecho -cada día más evidente, sobre todo, después de la pandemia que tanto dolor y sufrimiento ha causado en el mundo- que, aun sin llegar a entendernos realmente, todos terminan aceptando -incluidos los aburridos hiperbóreos que vegetan a la vera de la Aurora Boreal- nuestras costumbres y nuestra alegre manera de vivir, pues, en el fondo, tenemos, también, una herencia latina y sabemos, como los grandes pensadores de la antigua Roma, que todas las horas hieren, excepto la última, que mata.
Por eso, en nuestras costumbres, subyace siempre el trasfondo del Carpe Diem y procuramos disfrutar y vivir el momento, como si fuera el último. No es de extrañar, por lo tanto, que en nuestro pecho, como cantaba el mítico Manolo Escobar, el vino y la mujer siempre estén presentes -con el debido respeto, por supuesto- y sean los mejores compañeros, cuando el espíritu, que también está afectado por su parte humana, disfruta y goza siempre viviendo momentos en la mejor de las compañías.
