Doing black and white shot isn't as easy as removing the color, you have to balance the settings so you don't lose details in the shot. To much contrast can make things to dark and lose details while using to much lightness makes the lighter area blown out losing all the details. I would even go as far as to remove the sky and use a different setting on it so i get the best land and sky shots.

You see that one puffy cloud all by it self? Funny how nature does things like this isn't it? I mean you can see in the distance clouds but nothing like that lonely one sitting right in front of us. Kind of cool if you ask me.
