Steem Gallery Invitation

Good day Steemians.

I wanted to call you Steemers, but here in Johannesburg - not the one in Kern County, California - the one in South Africa, there is actually a group called the Reef Steamers, and this invitation is not necessarily for them, although they are not excluded.

I am from time to time involved in creating photographic exhibitions (the real thing - printed, framed and all) and this coming week is such an event.

We are having an exhibition in Johannesburg and I thought it would be great to meet some fellow Steemians at the opening ceremony.

This exhibition is a joint exhibition of photographs from 3 Chinese Cities (Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou) and 1 South African City - Johannesburg.

(This is my version - "Fashion in Johannesburg"!)

About two months ago the China Photographers Association asked me to arrange an exhibition for them to showcase some photographs from these three cities. I convinced them that it would be a good idea to include Johannesburg into the mix, seeing that this month is Johannesburg’s 130th anniversary. They agreed, and now, to months later we are busy hanging the photos for the upcoming exhibition.

So, if you are living in or around Johannesburg, and do not currently have plans for Sunday afternoon, come look at some interesting photos and meet a few local steemians - I know @tim-beck will be there ( @gavvet , hope you can make it as well)

By the way, the logo at the top is for some other plans I have for this Steem platform, watch this space…
