That's the law - 6 months plus two, you can decide if you make the two months right after the 6 months or if you want to absolve them over the next years and go there when they call you.

That sounds like an interesting military training program! lol. Is your son going to have to do that service? Is it just boys or girls too?
Just boys, and yes, next year he might have to absolve his 8 months ;)

As small as the country is I'm surprised they don't have the girls do something similar or in some other way. Do you think it's a good experience for kids?
Oh, they can joyn the army, but they don't have to. Maybe over the years they will adjust the law, but at the moment girls can, but don't have to :)

Oh very interesting sir johannpiber. Your daughter has no interest in the military does she? My step-daughter always wanted to join but she had kids at a young age and that messed up her plans.
Right, my daughter is not interested - she goes to a fashion school and wants to study interiour design - she has no interest in the military.
