I don't think you had a choice so I wouldn't worry about it. I think everyone understands..well most people. Besides, when Hitler was starting out people didn't know he was an insane, demonic murderer.
He brought work, he brought money, he brought food to the people. This is, why they followed him. This is, why they believed him, and then it was too late.
But this is over and long gone. It is history, and it should stay history. A history, which nobody should forget, but everybody should forgive ...
