Santa Ana of the places of my land Guácaras
A magical place in a small town was established, the city of Santa Ana de los Guácaras equal to a village of elves pose charm and magic. The city is so small that all inhabitants know, live only 1497 inhabitants.
It is located 15 km from the capital of Corrientes, was founded in 1621, dealt with the government about Franciscan friars, populating the site with native Guácaras, a few natives who were able to flee conception of Good Hope Bermejo, this population are extinct, but left in place some mestizos.

It has a beautiful church, which is the main attraction of the place, was built in 1771. This was destroyed in 1821 by a Paraguayan invasion, led by Norberto Ortellado and ordered by Gaspar Rodriguez de Francia. This invasion was defeated Guarani cacique Nicolas ARIPI.

Santa Ana de los Indios of Guácaras as it is also known, brings back fond memories of my childhood. The virgin is protective of the student, by then I was attending primary school.
My madrea asked the virgin help, to ensure my studies, making a promise to move from grade were visiting. I do not know if by help of the Virgin or really studied, I never flunked a degree, at the end of the classes we should go to the people to fulfill the promise, remember buying a huge candle that average more than one meter, it was as high as I, doing the honors personally light the candle on the altar of the virgin.
Another attraction is the old train station, two locomotives with their wagons, what was the train "Economic" enabled the service in the nineteenth century, it had two branches: one starting from the Correntino 1st Ingenio to San Luis and another from Ingenio to the capital.
One of the few old people standing Province, steeped in history, this magical town is always ready to welcome strangers, walk the sandy streets, sidewalks, grass, sit on the benches in the square and enjoy the silence . You forget all your mind on a journey through time takes you to the colonial era or the indigenous era, the old houses, the square, the chapel, the work of the Guarani, and beyond the narrow train, which was used to transport sugar production to the capital.
