Barcelona sunset

I'm living in the north of Spain where the temperature is relatively high, especially compared to the north of Europe. The sun setting by the beach is always a spectacle. It's a palette of fiery red colours dancing with darker shades. Just looking at it leaves me in awe. It's for that reason - and the callisthenics area - that I go there for my workouts. It's a long bike ride, but it's more than worth it.

As I arrived the area wasn't as crowded as usual. "Must be the relentless wind" I thought . Two cop cars were stationed next to the callisthenics area and one part of the beach was empty. The beautiful sky grabbed my attention and I took a few photos. A police officer approached me: "No puedes tomar fotos". I was confused. "Why can't I take pictures?" I asked her in Spanish. She pointed to a golden blanket that looked like it was made from aluminum. It hit me! "Es un cuerpo?" I asked her with genuine surprise, I hadn't noticed it. Yep, there was a lifeless person lying on the beach. I apologised and stopped taking pictures.

Below, the golden cover minutes before they checked the body. A beautiful last resting place. Almost poetic.

My phone battery died at 50%, which it had never done before. It just suddenly dropped to zero per cent.
Maybe because of that photo I had taken...

I continued with my workout as the forensic team carried the man - in a bodybag - to a van.
