Poor pup winding down after a visit to the vet
Today, I tagged along with my sister to take her pup and my lil' buddy Sir Myles to the vet. He has been dealing with stomach issues and severe lethargy for about three days, so she felt it was time to take him to the vet and didn't want to go alone in case it was bad news.
Luckily, he just has a virus that they said should be gone out of his system after a week of antibiotics and a week of rest. As you can see, the visit and sickness have taken a toll on the lil' guy.
Hopefully the vet is correct and it passes through his system soon, but it is very sad to see such a sweet animal, especially at a young age, deal with an illness. One of our greatest gifts we have been given in life is empathy and the ability to help other living creatures, and it hurts when you can't do anything but give it time.
Here's to positive thoughts, my fellow Steemians. May he be up chasing raccoons and strolling the streets soon enough.

The dogs deserve our affection in those moments, A being that from just seeing you, moves the tail of happiness. A being that will jump to hug you and kiss you, as if I had not seen you in 1 year. A being that will defend you against danger, that will not feel resentment for sleeping outdoors when you sleep inside and with the rest of the family. A being that asks only for food, water and love. A being that is probably superior and that many times we do not treat as it deserves. I hope it improves quickly.
I completely agree. So often we forget about the feelings of animals. They are just as fragile physically and emotionally as we are. Thank you for the kind words. Blessings!
