Vibrant Colored Lighting and Smoke Photography Technique
Creating colorful conceptual images takes a little trial and error but is actually much easier than you would think! The following images were taken using a $9 set of colored gel filters I purchased on Amazon. The set came with 20 different colored filters.
The best combinations are complimentary colors (orange and blue for example) but the fun part is experimenting with different colors and setups! You simply put the filters over speed light flash units and place them on opposite sides of the model. I then had the model pose and move until I found the perfect combination and placement of color tones! For added interest, smoke was also used in this photoshoot.
