We'd seen pictures of Zlatni Rat before we visited Croatia, but experiencing it was another thing entirely.

We rented a boat for a week this past summer and sailed through the islands of Croatia off the Dalmatian Coast. Everywhere we went had pristine waters, delicious fresh-caught fish, and friendly locals, but we had to wait in anticipation for Zlatni Rat for a few days before we'd reach it. And it did NOT disappoint.

Zlatni Rat is a uniquely-shaped pebble beach that jets out into the Hvar Channel, off the southern coast of the island of Brač. There were plenty of people the day we visited in the beginning of June, but not so many that it felt too crowded. We were easily able to find a water-front spot to relax and dip in to the sea without navigating our way around others.

It's currently a bit overcast here in San Antonio. We sure are missing those gorgeous Croatian beaches today!
