High Mountain Views and Flowering Cacti
Beautiful view of the rain clouds hanging over the valley far below, from a high point at over 9,000 ft elevation in the mountains of central Utah. And Dakota resting on the 9,100 ft. Plateau after the three mile hike from our campsite.
And on another hike I was surprised to find little flowering ball cacti covering the mountainside between 8,400-8,600 ft. So beautiful, but who knew there were cactus so high in the mountains?!? I guess central Utah is still far enough south to be able to support cactus growth at high mountain elevations...
And one more amazing view, from the top of this hillside where there is just good enough cell reception to upload photos, which I was a little shocked but happy to discover in such a remote location.
