Crocus (crocus vernus), Saffron spring (my last name :D) is a beautiful plant that blooms in early spring. These unique onion flowers will charm you with their colors in early spring. In addition to the early varieties, there are also many other species of crocuses, there are also those that bloom in autumn. Currently, about 30 species of crocuses are grown. These plants occur wild in nature, but they can also be grown in the garden, park or pot. They came to Europe from Asia Minor around the sixteenth century.

Krokus (crocus vernus), inaczej Szafran wiosenny (moje nazwisko :D) to piękna roślina, która kwitnie wczesną wiosną. Te wyjątkowe kwiaty cebulowe oczarowują swoimi kolorami wczesną wiosną. Poza wczesnymi odmianami występuje również wiele innych gatunków krokusów, są też takie, które kwitną jesienią. Obecnie uprawianych jest około 30 gatunków krokusów. Rośliny te występują dziko w przyrodzie, ale można je również uprawiać w ogrodzie, parku czy doniczce. Do Europy dotarły z Azji Mniejszej około XVI wieku.

SO beautiful!! I have the white and pink crocus but not the purple. They're gorgeous!! I think they need cooler temperatures than the other varieties don't they? I don't think I can grow them where I am.
