The Day I Visited A Friend's Furniture Workshop

I have a friend named Yusuf who is a proud furniture and I have to say that he is really good at what he does. We grew up together and the late father owns the furniture workshop where he works.

He loves his work so much that he gets to work as early as 6:30am and leaves by 6:00pm. I decided to pay him a surprise visit yesterday to see his works and why he loves the job so much.

ooohhhh sorry, I forgot to mention that he is a first class graduate of mathematics from the University of Ilorin

While I was at his workshop, customers came to buy some furniture he made and also giving him words of encouragement to never let the dream of his late father die.

I asked why he is so dedicated and passionate about this job and not looking for a white collar job with his extraordinary result, he said "when my father was dying, out of his seven sons, he called only me and told me that the workshop was his life and his gift to us all and he pleaded with me to never let it die by doing all in my power to make it thrive".

There and then, I realized the importance of family and also why he took the work so dear to his heart.
