Sydney Travels Day 6: Wildlife Centre and Chinese Gardens

in #photography6 years ago

Day 6 we visited the wildlife centre and from there we went to the Chinese gardens before heading to watch Evita in the Sydney opera house. They were very strict on photo regulations in there!

Once you have entered the wildlife centre there is a beautiful butterfly area, unfortunately quite a few of these butterflies get stepped on which is quite upsetting.

This little guy was in a tank watching over the butterflies.

Little sqooshed belly!

I got too distracted by the butterflies the first time around to notice this long neck turtle.

We learnt quite a bit about the Tasmanian devil including how they have super strong bites.

One spooky snake! One of the most deadly in Australia, the eastern brown snake.

Some cute wombats, like we saw at the previous zoo.

This reminds me of when I have an itch, but can't reach it

I believe this is a rock wallaby; correct me if I am wrong I do not quite remember.

Well okay I'm not sure why I kept a photo of this!

That is all for the animal photos we headed from here to the Chinese gardens. I did not manage to get many photos here as I took too many earlier and my camera went flat, however, I did get a few. It is such a nice calm area to escape from the city we didn't get any nice tea as we were to busy taking in the views and the occasional lizard just laying in the sun.

Sorry for such a long post I hope you liked the photos!

AMAZING... I just resteemed this .... just spectacular

The photos are great :) Had to giggle at your "not sure why I kept this" caption for one of them, think it was totally worth keeping just for the laughs xD

Sucks about the butterflies getting stepped on, seriously do people not look where they're putting their feet D:

I particularly loved that bright coloured bird on the brown ground that suddenly leaped out from amongst all these other carefully camouflaged animals :)

Thanks :)
One thing I did do was stare at the ground trying to dodge all the butterflies, so I didn't realise there were the turtles as mentioned above until I went back around.
