In this post, I present to you the pictures from the shooting sets of the longest epic in the world - The Mahabharata. The set was not occupied and thus, photography wasn't prohibited. Most of the other sets were engaged and thus, entry to the sets were restricted. The details of engravings on the pillars and walls of these sets is very intricate and does paint a picture of the ancient times where aesthetics were requisites in the royal palaces of the then kings.

About Mahabharata:

Considered to be one of the most holiest book of the Hindus or the followers of 'Sanatan Dharma' - The Bhagwad Geeta is based on the conversation between Lord Krishna and Arjuna, that took place during the battle of Kurukshetra. It is the longest known epic ever written. It consists of over 100,000 couplets that's around 200,000 lines.

There are many Indian TV serials depicting the story of Mahabharata. The shooting for these serials is done in the sets that I present in the following photographs. I enjoyed the view and it was my first time visiting a set, I hope you too enjoy them through the pictures :D
