Christmas toy

The first glass toys: balls, beads, spherical mirror objects in balls and icicles - appeared in Europe on Christmas trees in the middle of the XIX century.
They were heavier than modern ones because they were made of thick plate glass.
Initially, most of the glass jewelry was of European production, but very soon they began to be produced in Russia.
