One Day in Nagoya, Japan
In 2015, a group of racing friends and I planned a trip to Japan to attend the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix. It was definitely an unforgettable experience. Now that the main event was out of way, it was time to explore the rest of Japan!

Our first stop on a bright and early morning was Oasis 21. This was a very interesting building complex as the top level has a glass roof with the shape of what is called the "Spaceship Aqua." Below the roof is a field trees and flowers where people basically hang out and relax. What makes this place even more interesting is that the shops and restaurants are below.
Oasis 21 has a very interesting architectural design including the stairwells.
On the ground level was a small cultural exhibition which meant more photo opportunities!
Here are some beautiful looking arrows.
Origami made not of paper but sheets of metal.
A woman traditionally making thread with a spindle and spinning wheel. Don't poke your finger or you might be the next Sleeping Beauty!
Japanese calligraphy.
These shiny decorative balls are actually made out of mud.
Skilled craftsmen demonstrate their amount of patience and technique in creating masterpieces.
The finished product: an ancestral shrine for the home.
The next stop for us was the Nagoya City Science Museum. On the way there we strolled by the park.
The Nagoya City Science Museum has one of the largest, if not the largest planetarium in the world. The museum is very interactive and is an awesome place for the whole family from the kids to the kids at heart.
Here's some short video clips of a few of the interactive things you can do inside the museum:

I wish I had more time to spend here at the museum but the show must go on!
The final leg of the One Day in Nagoya journey included a stop at a temple and a shopping mall with an interesting shop and some interesting paper art..
Alice in Wonderland.
And now some paper art.
One Day in Nagoya, Japan: Complete. Stay tuned for more photos of my Japan trip.
