Can you see those big eyes? She is a Painted Lady Butterfly, with tattered and torn wings. She came for a little break on my coneflower in the summer. I took like hundreds of shots, but this one is my favorite because she looked straight at me with her big eyes. She probably didn't like my invasion and would preferred to be left alone with her business.
Her wings were so ripped and missed many parts! And that was what fascinated me! I couldn't believe that she could still fly and thriving! Looking at her, I learned a big lesson that day. Life is tough, rough, and unfair, but if you have strong will, you will go on and survive!
