Why I see the world with different eyes or how the photography has changed....Warum ich die Welt mit anderen Augen sehe oder wie mich die Fotografie verändert hat.....

It is not so long ago that I sat on my computer and I have seen my pictures from the past years. I have to say, it should be several tens of thousands of RAW or JPG files. This is, of course, only a value of the estimated, however let me 2 hard disks with together 4 TB do not doubt this estimation. But this is only mentioned by the way.

es ist noch gar nicht so lange her, das ich an meinem Computer gesessen habe und mir meine Bilder aus den vergangenen Jahren angesehen habe. Ich muss dazu sagen, es dürfte sich dabei um mehrere Zehntausende RAW oder JPG Dateien handeln. Das ist natürlich nur ein Wert der geschätzt ist, jedoch lassen mich 2 Festplatten mit zusammen 4 TB nicht an dieser Schätzung zweifeln. Das aber sei nur nebenbei erwähnt.

What I noticed when looking at the many pictures, is the fact how over the years the view of the object which one wants to photograph is changed. I started with taking pictures about 9 years ago (at least with my first DSLR camera, a Nikon D60), before it was rather "snapping". But with the birth of my youngest daughter Melissa, I wanted to keep her development in better pictures.

Das was mir aber beim betrachten der vielen Bilder aufgefallen ist, ist die Tatsache wie sich im Laufe der Jahre die Sichtweise auf das Objekt welches man fotografieren will verändert. Ich habe mit dem Fotografieren vor etwa 9 Jahren begonnen ( zumindest mit meiner ersten DSLR Kamera, einer Nikon D60), davor war es eher „Knipsen“. Aber mit der Geburt meiner jüngsten Tochter Melissa, wollte ich ihre Entwicklung in besseren Bildern festhalten.

To my horror, however, I realized that the first pictures were not better than the previous one I had done with my Pentax Digicam. Now you lean as a loan fast to push everything to the camera (which just makes bad pictures), but it was not so. I realized quite quickly, the image does not make the camera, but always the one behind it.

Zu meinem Entsetzen stellte ich jedoch fest, das die ersten Bilder gar nicht besser waren als die vorherigen die ich noch mit meiner Pentax Digicam gemacht hatte. Nun neigt man als Leihe schnell dazu alles auf die Kamera zu schieben (die einfach schlechte Bilder macht), dem war aber nicht so. Ich begriff recht schnell, das Bild macht nicht die Kamera, sondern immer der der hinter ihr steht.

During this time, when my daughter was still very small, there was a lot going on in nature and from initial snapshots slowly became real pictures. During this time, as often as I was concerned with relevant literature, I concerned myself with the relevant instructions from the Internet. And every free minute was tested and tested.

In dieser Zeit, als meine Tochter noch sehr klein war, waren viel in der Natur unterwegs und aus anfänglichen Schnappschüssen wurden langsam richtige Bilder. Ich beschäftigte mich in dieser Zeit, so oft es ging mit einschlägiger Literatur bzw. besorgte ich mir entsprechende Anleitungen aus dem Internet. Und in jeder freien Minute wurde Probiert und getestet.

It was not long before I understood the connections between aperture and exposure and grew my own requirements. There were suddenly new challenges that had to be tried, like the first photo of the moon with my 500mm focal length. To this I must also note, which with time also the equipment grew. Perhaps this was also due to the fact that my wife also discovered this hobby for herself.

Es dauerte nicht lange, bis ich die Zusammenhänge zwischen Blende und Belichtung verstand und die eigenen Ansprüche wuchsen. Es gab plötzlich neue Herausforderungen die probiert werden mussten, so wie das erste Foto vom Mond mit meiner 500mm Brennweite. Dazu muss ich noch anmerken, das mit der Zeit auch das Equipment wuchs. Das war vielleicht auch der Tatsache geschuldet, das auch meine Frau dieses Hobby für sich entdeckte.

From that time on, we were mostly together in nature and inspired each other. As we began to spread our images on the Internet and make them accessible to others, there was an occasional real competition for the best picture or the best perspective between us (no worries it all remained peaceful).

Von dieser Zeit an waren wir meist gemeinsam unterwegs in der Natur und spornten uns gegenseitig an. Als wir dann damit begannen unsere Bilder im Internet zu verbreiten und anderen diese zugänglich zu machen, entbrannte gelegentlich ein richtiger Wettbewerb um das Beste Bild oder die Beste Perspektive zwischen uns (keine Sorge es blieb alles friedlich).

Meanwhile, our "little" daughter is already 8 years old and together we go on a photo tour. My first Nikon D60, is with her in good hands and the pictures can really be seen. (Even if they'd rather have their own YouTube Chanel).

Mittlerweile ist unsere „kleine“ Tochter schon 8 Jahre alt und zieht mit uns gemeinsam auf Foto Tour. Meine erste Nikon D60, ist dabei bei ihr in guten Händen und die Bilder können sich wirklich sehen lassen. (auch wenn sie lieber ihren eigenen YouTube Chanel hätte).

When we are on the road today to capture the beauty of nature in images, we have a very different look for motifs as it used to be. We look at things differently and see things that remain hidden to other people. I love this hobby today more than before, because it gives me the opportunity to spend time with my family and get away from everyday life. That I can share my thoughts and images with you here leads to my inner center, which is sometimes lost in everyday life.

Wenn wir heute unterwegs sind, um die Schönheit der Natur in Bildern festzuhalten, haben wir einem ganz anderen Blick für Motive als es früher der Fall war. Wir betrachten Dinge anders und sehen Sachen, die anderen Menschen verborgen bleiben. Ich liebe dieses Hobby heute mehr als Früher, weil es mir die Möglichkeit gibt, Zeit mit meiner Familie zu verbringen und Abstand vom Alltag zu bekommen. Das ich meine Gedanken und Bilder hier mit euch teilen kann, führt dazu das ich meine Innere Mitte wiederfinde, die im Alltag schon manchmal verloren geht.
