in #photography6 years ago

This is Puga hot water spring, located in Ladakh region of Jammu & Kashmir, North India. The spring is situated between the Puga valley. According to an article, it talks about the great potential geothermal energy could play in the valley, producing about 40% of its electricity needs.
Indian government is doing research of geothermal energy in Puga. Puga lies in the south-eastern part of Ladakh and forms a part of the Himalayan geothermal belt. This zone shows evidence of geothermal activity in the form of hot springs, mud pools, sulphur and borax deposits.
I was there in 2017 with few of my friends. We were just crossing the Puga valley when saw this miracle place at no mans land. The land was wet and salty, it was many small and big hot fountains there. Lucky to visit the unique place in dry desert.
