It's harvest time 🌾
Yesterday, I got the chance to observe and talk to this wonderful lady plucking and collecting ragi (finger millets) . . She looked so calm and fulfilled while doing it. When I talked to her, she said agriculture, for her, is like raising and taking care of her children.. and it has really nourished her heart. We had a pretty good conversation and I got a new local friend as well. I hope you like her.
🌍📍 Kasar devi village, Uttarakhand, India.
Uttarakhand and our cultures and lifestyles are so similar. I was amazed to see this. Most other parts of India don't resemble so much.
Loved this post my friend.
@cave-man yeah, man! We look so similar in everything ..and that's because Eastern Kumaon region of uttarakhand was once part of Nepal. I'm gland you liked the post. Thanks for dropping by :)
Wow! Really! Amazing to know.
Can they speak nepali too?
And you are from the same place too?
@cave-man No, mainly they speak Kumaoni, but many napalese also live here. They've migrated here for work. And, I'm from Delhi. I came here two years ago and living here since then. It's a beautiful place surrounded with hamlets, hills and rivers. You should visit it sometime.
Sounds like a beautiful place. I definitely will if i got a chance man.
