The Beauty of Lotus Flower (Nymphaea)
Lotus (Nymphaea) is the genus name for water plants of the Nymphaeaceae. In the language of the United Kingdom known as the water-lily or waterlily. In Indonesia, Lotus is also used to refer to plants of the genus Nelumbo (lotus). In ancient times, people do often confuse between plants such as Lotus Nelumbo genus with the genus Nymphaea (Lotus). On Nelumbo, flowers there is above the surface of the water (no floats), artificial petals red (Lotus white to yellow), full circle-shaped leaves and Rhizome his usual consumption.
The plant grows on the surface of the water. The flowers and leaves are located at the water surface, out of the stalk that comes from rizoma in the mud on the bottom of the pond, river or swamp. There is a spike in the middle of the leaf. The leaves are rounded or oval shape's width are truncated on the fingers heading to stalk. The surface of the leaves do not contain a layer of wax so that the water falls into the surface of the leaves do not form droplets of water. Link Source

I happened to take a picture of this lotus flowers blooming, not at the moment so I just took a picture of the lily flower petals are still in and will bloom.
