These photos are the visual definition of serendipity.
This is the feel good story of the week/month/year (scratch the unecessary mention) and it comes from China.
In July 2000, Ye and Xue were both visiting the city of Qingdao, and they happened to take a photo each in front of the huge sculpture adorning the center of the May Fourth Square (no relation with Star Wars).
Here are the photos... Notice anything?
Yes, in the background of Xue's photo, you may notice a guy posing himself... And it's none other than Ye, the man who was to become her husband 11 years later!
They didn't each other. They probably didn't even notice each other presence's in the shadow of that building. They went their own way, lived their own lives.
11 years later, they met in another city, started dating and then they got married. It's only recently that they noticed the coincidence.
Goosebumps anyone? Yeah... So, next time you take a photo, pay attention to your surrounding, the man or woman of your life is maybe around. But don't rush. Time will take care of it.

Such stories are not uncommon, they can often be found on the Internet.
I believe more in the random sequence of events that accompanies people in achieving the goal. And then each event from the chain becomes meaningful, and you understand, one would not have happened without the other, which means that everything is not accidental.
