 The Constanța Casino (Romanian: Cazinoul din Constanța) is a casino in Constanța, Romania, located at 2 Elisabeta Boulevard along the Black Sea. Considered a symbol of the city, it was built in Art Nouveau style according to the plans of Daniel Renard and inaugurated in August 1910. The last major repairs took place in 1986-1988, and the building is currently closed. It is listed as a historic monument by Romania's Ministry of Culture and Religious Affairs. 

History

The casino ocen host the Russian Imperial Family in 1914. During the World War Two, this casino was used as a hospital. And it became a restaurant under the rule of communist party after the war. However because it was too expensive to operate it, the building was closed since 1990. The last major repairs of the builing took place in 1988.

Curtea de Arges Monastery

Located at the end of a boulevard with hundred of years old linden trees, Curtea de Arges Monastery is the most important pilgrimage and prayer place in the county of Arges, with the “Assumption of the Virgin” as its dedication day. 

History

Founded in the time of voivode Neagoe Basarab, between 1512 and 1517, the monastery is a part of the most famous Romanian legend, “The legend of master Manole”.  Over time, it endured several restoration sessions. The present shape was given by the French architect Andre Lecomte du Nouy and the Romanian architect Nicolae Gabrielescu, in the last half of the 19th century. The restoration works were finished in 1885, and the church was dedicated on 12 October 1886.
