Long-lived love

How wonderful would it be, to have the privilege of growing old with someone you love? These pictures were taken during a trip I did to the Lake Chapala in Mexico. It is a lovely place where you can have a peaceful day walking through the pier and enjoy the beautiful view.

However, this couple sitting in that bench was what made this trip the most memorable. We often believe the puppy love and the affection is only for the people who just started dating or are still in a “honeymoon phase”. It is common to hear that love doesn’t last. But when I look at them, sharing an umbrella and close to each other in confidence, I dare to say otherwise.

They probably have been together for decades. They have seen good and bad times, and everything in between. They have given life and later saw it spread its wings. They have chosen each other every day and fought for it. They live in a society who doesn't promote lasting love...

I’ll let you another shot of the Lake Chapala. It is the largest natural lake of the country and it’s mainly located in the state of Jalisco. I recommend it to everyone who wants to relax and be in contact with nature.
