The composition in photography is the arrangement of elements and subjects within the painting. How we select those objects and subjects and how they are arranged in the image can make the difference between a mediocre photograph and a large photograph.

In this chapter we will learn all the rules, tricks and tips to get the best pictures in terms of composition. We will know the laws of perception, who the psychologists of Gestalt are and how they relate to photography.

The law of the figure and the background, the law of proximity, the law of continuity, the law of closure, that of similarity and that of grouping, among others. All of them rules of perception that help us to understand why some photos are better than others and how the visual stimulus that the photographer shapes in the image affects the spectator.

In addition we will explain in depth the basic laws of photographic composition. We will talk about the law of the horizon, the law of the gaze and, of course, the famous rule of the thirds. Nor will we forget the golden section, the Fibonacci sequence and its relation to composition. photographic

We will continue the chapter by talking in detail about the elements that make up the design in an image, what they are, and how we can use them to our advantage when composing a good photograph.
